Pulsation Dampeners


Pulsation dampeners, also known as pulsation dampers, are devices used in fluid systems to reduce pressure fluctuations or pulsations caused by pumps or other pulsating flow sources. They work by absorbing or dampening these pressure surges, resulting in a smoother and more uniform flow.
Working Principle:
Pulsation dampeners smooth out pressure fluctuations in fluid systems, like those caused by pumps, by absorbing and releasing energy at the appropriate times. They typically consist of a pressure vessel with a compressible element, which expands and contracts with the pulsations, storing energy during high-pressure peaks and releasing it during low-pressure troughs.
This reduces the amplitude of pressure variations and protects the system from damage.
