Simplex Plunger Series

Our simplex plunger series are designed to deliver controlled volume of liquid against a positive differential pressure between pump suction and discharge. The pump is designed to perform this function with precision and reliability with repetitive accuracy of plus or minus 3% and steady state accuracy of plus or minus 1% of mean delivered flow.
Working Principle:
A plunger pump, a type of positive displacement pump, works by reciprocating plunger to move fluid. The integral speed reduction unit consisting of a worm and worm wheel transmits the rotary motion of the motor to the pump drive shaft and then converted into reciprocating motion of the cross head through eccentric and connecting rod.
The stroke length can be varied by changing the eccentricity of the crank by means of a control knob. The change in stroke length of the pump can be read in terms of percentage of the full stroke on the scale provided for the purpose.
As the plunger reciprocates within the pump, a dynamic seal is created between the outside diameter of the plunger and the inside diameter of the gland packing, and a static seal is made between the outside diameter of the packing and the inside diameter of the Liquid Head, thus giving the desired flow in the pump.
